September 16, 2025 Salchicha is about 1 1/2 years old, spayed, vaccinated, 4Dx negative, has been treated with NexGuard Plus and weighs 27 lbs.  She was abandoned along with a male dog near the Sabana Picnic area in El Yunque (Naguabo).  She was a tad shy at first, but now happily greets new people.  She gets along well with other dogs.  She is learning how to walk on a leash and rides in a car well in a crate. She is living outside a building, has some shelter from weather and is fed daily.  However, she is not car savvy and doesn't always get out of the street when they pass.  She looks like a combination of chihuahua and dashund, but like most PR dogs, is very mixed breed.  She needs a Foster or Forever home.
